Lana Shlafer pours her heart and soul into her classes, encouraging students to open up physically, emotionally, psychologically and energetically. She had an early introduction to yoga by watching her father practice since she was a toddler. Lana would play around mimicking her father’s postures and this playful approach to life and yoga has stayed with her to this day. During the last decade Lana has studied with teachers in the US and abroad, collecting wisdom and guidance from many different school of thought including Ashtanga Vinyasa, Iyengar, Anusara and Hatha. Lana received her 200-hour RYT certification with Skyy Della in Baja, Mexico and her 500-hour certification with Cloud Nine yoga in Southern California. Her classes range widely in their variety, sequencing and level thereby inviting everyone to practice going at their own pace while simultaneously going to the leading edge of their abilities.
Lana’s main occupation these days is being a mother to delightful twins (Miela and Zaanti) who are her greatest teachers. She is also currently pursuing an M.A. in Counseling Psychology at the Institute of Transpersonal Psychology.
