TESTIMONIAL: When I completed Erika’s 200-hour teacher training in April 2022, I truly felt transformed, grateful for the knowledge and the growth it sparked in me. At the time, I honestly believed that meeting this personal goal and obtaining this certification was enough. I wanted to teach — and now I could teach!
Since I was also an older person starting this journey, I didn’t think I needed a 300-hour training. I thought a 300-hour training would be more appropriate for someone younger who is just starting their yoga journey.
But everything changed when I began attending Erika’s monthly mentor hours.
I initially saw this mentoring as a way to support my growth as a new teacher. What began as a step toward developing confidence evolved into a deeper calling. I realized– my age doesn’t need to restrict my growth as a person and a yogi.
I recently enrolled in the 300-hour training, and I am thoroughly enjoying every moment. I’m learning through a new lens—one shaped by wisdom with my age, my novice yoga teaching experience, and a deeper connection to yoga philosophy.
There was a time I struggled with the question: What kind of yogi do I want to be? Through this training and mentoring, I’m beginning to answer that question—not just intellectually, but through lived integration. I’m coming to know, understand, and feel at home with the yogi I am becoming.
This 300-hour journey is more than just a certification—it’s a pathway to authentic embodiment. I’m so grateful to Erika for helping me find my voice and deepening my yoga path.
With loving-kindness,Karen
