My yoga practice began in college, when it was all about staying fit and working out. I soon realized that yoga was much more than that. That feeling I had after a yoga class was pretty amazing and it helped (still helps) immensely with my anxiety. I quickly went from appreciating the well-rounded workout to understanding the amazing emotional and stress reducing benefits that a consistent yoga practice can offer.
I believe that the effects of yoga are far reaching and can benefit everyone. Anyone can do yoga, it is not all about flexibility or peak poses; it is about balancing and healing the body and mind, it is also about finding a sense of peace within yourself in the midst of the chaos of life.
