Aza Larsen was trained in Philosophy, Asana, Pranayama, Meditation & Teaching Techniques in the Hatha Yoga Tradition with the Cloud Nine Yoga School. She completed her training on the Big Island of Hawaii at the Hawaiian Sanctuary, and brings a lot of love and aloha to her classes.
Aza went to her first class with her older sister when she was 17 and fell in love with the practice because of the similarities in stretches from being a dancer in her youth. Her practice started as part of a fitness regimen for a few years before the realization of something deeper in yoga than only the physical workout. Using yoga as a tool to calm stress throughout college, she was astonished at the benefits she received from meditating. Over the course of almost 10 years, yoga morphed into a way of life. Her love for the physical and mental practice lead her to want to share what she had learned with others. Her flagship studio will be opening next year in Atlanta.
Aza recently moved to the Buckhead Atlanta area from Malibu, CA where she was teaching private yoga lessons on the beach and on retreat. Before living in the LA area, Aza achieved a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Hospitality Management from Florida International University in Miami Beach and graduated Cum Laude. Right after graduation, she went on to complete her yoga training in Hawaii.
